INDIA, Oct 24, (Agencies): Lokesh Kanagaraj, the acclaimed director behind the blockbuster Tamil action thriller film 'Leo,' suffered a leg injury during a promotional event for his movie at a cinema in Palakkad.

When Kanagaraj arrived at the movie hall, he was met with an enthusiastic crowd of well-wishers who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the director. His plan was to promote the film in Palakkad, Thrissur, and Kochi before returning later in the day.

However, his plans took an unexpected turn when fans became uncontrollable and rushed towards the director for selfies, causing a stampede. To restore order, the police had to intervene, resulting in Kanagaraj sustaining a leg injury.

After this unfortunate incident, Kanagaraj had to cancel his plans to visit Thrissur and Kochi, opting to return to Chennai instead. However, he has assured his fans that he will make a return to Kerala in the future.
