Lebanon win 7-A-Side Football Tournament

Embassies of the Islamic countries in Kuwait concluded the 7-A-Side Football Tournament organized by Youth Section of the Public Authority for Sports as part of the activities to celebrate Kuwait as the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2016.

The final match was between the Embassies of Lebanon and Azerbaijan, and the Lebanese side won the title with five goals to nothing against Azerbaijan.

The two teams managed to reach the finals after Lebanon defeated the Jordanian embassy 2-1 and Azerbaijan also crushed the Embassy of Sierra Leone 2-1.

Deputy General Director of Youth Affairs Ahmad Abdul-Razzaq Al-Khazal affirmed the important role sports play in strengthening relations. He also said horizon of cooperation opens through sports events between various embassies in Kuwait.
