BEIRUT / TEL AVIV, April 10: Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that eight State Security personnel were killed after Israeli warplanes struck near a security office in the southern town of Nabatieh on Friday, causing extensive damage to a government building.

The report said several others were wounded in the attack and were being transferred to nearby hospitals, though an exact number was not immediately confirmed. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military regarding the specific strike.

In a separate statement, the Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesperson said Israel had targeted more than 120 Hezbollah sites over the past 24 hours. The Lebanese armed group has meanwhile claimed a series of air and ground attacks against Israel following developments linked to a wider regional ceasefire.

In northern Israel, multiple waves of sirens were heard throughout the day, including in border communities and cities such as Nahariya and Karmiel, as authorities warned of incoming fire from Hezbollah.

The Israeli military said approximately 30 projectiles were launched toward northern Israel since the morning, amid continuing cross-border exchanges and rising tensions along the frontier.
