Lebanese premier calls on his people to put country’s interests first

BEIRUT, Feb 28: Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called on fellow Lebanese to put the interest of their country above all amid “the dangerous developments” in the region.

Salam wrote in a post on X that his government will not tolerate anyone involving Lebanon “in adventures that threaten its security and unity.”

The premier was referring to the Iran-backed Hezbollah group without naming it, in response to the attacks on Tehran earlier Saturday.
