Lebanese Duo Arrested in Kuwait With Major Narcotics Cache

KUWAIT CITY, May 11: The Kuwait Ministry of Interior said its Criminal Security Sector, through the General Directorate for Drug Control, has arrested two Lebanese nationals in a drug trafficking case following intelligence-led investigations.

Authorities said the suspects were found in possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances intended for both trafficking and personal use.

The seizure included 2 kilograms of marijuana, 400 grams of hashish, 0.5 kilograms of synthetic cannabinoids (such as Spice or K2), and 6,000 capsules of Lyrica, along with digital weighing scales and packaging materials used for preparing drugs for distribution.

The ministry said the suspects were referred to the competent authorities along with the seized items, adding that legal procedures have been initiated.

It said security campaigns against drug trafficking will continue across the country, stressing a zero-tolerance approach toward those involved in the drug trade.
