‘Leave Cash Soon’ List Awaiting Approval

KUWAIT CITY, July 31: According to reliable sources, the work team for implementing the rules and controls for entitlement and disbursement of cash allowance for the balance of periodic leaves while serving in the Ministry of Social Affairs completed a new list of 68 employees eligible for the allowance worth a total of KD 183,000, which is expected to be disbursed very soon after the list is approved by the Acting Undersecretary Abdulaziz Sari, reports Aljarida daily. They explained that the oversight authorities, represented by the Office of Employment Affairs of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), finished reviewing the names of these employees, and then submitted them to the ministry’s Financial Affairs Department to complete their disbursement forms.

The ministry will continue to pay the allowance successively as soon as the oversight authorities finish reviewing and approving the lists of beneficiaries in accordance with the rules and conditions of eligibility set by the Civil Service Council. Meanwhile, Undersecretary Sari issued a decision to rotate about 140 financial and administrative officers appointed from the Ministry of Social Affairs within the cooperative societies distributed over all parts of the country.

This is aimed at developing work and renewing blood, and in accordance with the principle of transparency. Periodic rotation between supervisors is an essential part and a positive matter in order to advance collaborative work, just like with the employees in any oversight body, where there are changes implemented for the sake of work.
