KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: The horse Lazzaz Al-Amiriyah, trained by Mohammed Saree and ridden by jockey Hadi Al-Omar, captured the Al-Azbah Stud Owner Cup for Egyptian Arabian horses over 1,600 meters, clocking a time of 2:14.89. The victory came in the sixth race of the fourth racing meet at the Hunting and Equestrian Club.
Dr Jarallah Ali Al-Mari, the cup’s sponsor, presented the trophy to the winners and congratulated them on their achievement. The club’s general manager, Ali Al-Fahad, also presented Dr Al-Mari with a commemorative shield from the Chairman and members of the Higher Committee for Horse Racing.
Dr Al-Mari confirmed his continued support for Arabian horse racing at the club, highlighting that the Al-Azbah Stud Cup will be included in the annual racing calendar. He also thanked Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi, owner of Al-Raya Stud, for his initiative in supporting purebred Egyptian Arabian horses.
In other notable results, Hessian claimed the Club Cup in the seventh race, while Hilal Al-Sham won the club’s trophy for imported purebred Arabian horses. The first-place winners in races one through four were Ashqar Hamoud, Choc Wave, Laura, and Al-Fateh, respectively.
