Lawyer Urges Kuwait Court To Uphold Death Sentence In Wife-Murder Case

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The Court of Appeals postponed until Sept 23 announcement of its ruling in the case of a man sentenced to death for allegedly murdering his wife by running her over with his car in Mutla’a, reports Al-Seyassah daily. During the court proceedings, Attorney Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan, lawyer of the family of the victims, claimed that forensic analyses and medical evaluations conducted on the defendant indicated that he had been pretending to be ill and exaggerating symptoms that were not present. The defense argued that this evidence contradicts the claims of the accused regarding his health. Al-Qattan urged the court to uphold the death sentence, pointing out that his clients demand to finalize the previous ruling, which declared the defendant guilty and sentenced him to death.
