Lack of specialists cause of artifacts loss

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23 : Commenting on what was published by the Al-Seyassah daily about the loss of antiquities, Hanouf Al-Manifi who is contesting the elections from the Third Constituency said this was due to non application of the scientific method in preserving antiquities, whether they were found during the excavations and research carried out by some archaeological missions in Kuwait in collaboration with the Kuwaiti research teams, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Al-Munifi indicated that part of her electoral program calls for the application of the scientific method in storing and recording archaeological processes that must keep pace with all modern methods – methods that have been adopted by museums around the world. She added randomness and the lack of specialists among Kuwaitis in this field is one of the reasons for the loss and loss of these artifacts, which means losing a side of Kuwait’s history and civilization.
