KUWAIT CITY, Sep 10: Customs inspectors at the Sulaibiya Vegetable Market Inspection Unit have foiled an attempt to smuggle liquor into Kuwait after discovering the items during a routine inspection of a truck.

According to the General Administration of Customs, inspectors found 11 liquor bottles and one beer can during the inspection.

The administration said the seizure was made possible by the inspectors’ vigilance and careful attention during routine inspection procedures.

Following the discovery, the Customs Investigation and Search Department was contacted, and coordination was established with the General Directorate for Drug Control at the Ministry of Interior.

The seized items were handed over and the necessary legal procedures were initiated in accordance with the applicable regulations.
