Kuwait’s Strong Stand for Palestine: Unity at Al-Irada Square

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13:  Kuwaiti citizens gathered at Al-Irada Square to participate in a solidarity demonstration in support of Palestinian resistance. Solidarity activists displayed signs bearing messages like, “Palestine is our central cause, and we are for Palestine; put an end to Israel’s violence .”

Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Al-Aiban, underlined that Kuwait’s stance on humanitarian and Arab matters remains unwavering. He emphasized during his presence at the gathering that Kuwait cannot remain neutral on such critical issues. His participation reaffirmed the government’s declared position, stating, “The Kuwaiti people are a free and proud people… and today’s gathering symbolizes significant feelings and values.”

MP Abdullah Al-Mudhaf stressed that the Palestinian issue isn’t solely theirs but concerns anyone with a human conscience, every Muslim, and a legitimate duty. He asserted, “We have been and continue to be supporters of the Palestinian cause as it is our central concern.” He mentioned that the National Assembly representatives would call for a special session with prepared decisions appropriate to the event.

The demonstrators raised their voices with slogans in support of the resistance, sending their solidarity from Kuwait to Gaza.

Ahmed Al-Din expressed that the significant turnout of Kuwaiti citizens and residents for this show of support for the Palestinian people and opposition to Israel’s actions is a resounding message against the oppressors.

Representative Daoud Marafi confirmed their stance in the National Assembly against any private group supporting Israel. He remarked, “In Kuwait, we feel deep sadness for what is happening in Gaza, and this massive gathering reflects Kuwait’s genuine commitment to the Palestinian cause. We will persist until a free and independent Palestine is restored.” He concluded, “We will not tolerate the displacement of Gaza’s people, as they are the rightful owners of the land.”
