KUWAI CITY, June 3: The Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Children and Family Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Amthal Al-Huwaila, emphasized the urgent need for digitizing all sectors of the Ministry of Social Affairs to enhance service delivery to citizens. This statement was made during a pivotal meeting with the ministry's development and planning sector, focusing on the digital transformation strategy, according to a ministry release.
During the meeting, attended by Acting Undersecretary Dr. Khaled al-Ajmi, Minister Al-Huwaila highlighted the necessity of expediting the digital transformation across all sectors. She called for the modernization of the e-gate and the implementation of a strategic action plan aligned with a specific timetable.
The primary goal of this digital transformation initiative is to convert all services provided to citizens into smart applications that integrate seamlessly with the "Sahel" app, in line with Kuwait’s broader digital transformation agenda.
In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Huwaila expressed her commitment to supporting the ministry’s sectors in overcoming obstacles to implement the digital transformation plan effectively. She urged for collaborative efforts within the ministry to accelerate the digitization of services and operational mechanisms, by the directives of the Cabinet Council concerning digital transformation in all state sectors.
This move underscores Kuwait's dedication to advancing its digital infrastructure, aiming to provide efficient, accessible, and innovative services to its citizens.
