Kuwait's Social Affairs Minister inspects services for persons with disabilities

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19:  Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, on Sunday, carried out an unannounced field visit to the headquarters of the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (PADA) in Al-Sabahiya to inspect operational progress and assess the quality of services being delivered.

In a press statement following the visit, Dr. Al-Huwailah emphasized that her presence aimed to directly observe workflow procedures and evaluate the mechanisms in place for service provision. She underscored the significance of hearing feedback and suggestions from staff on the ground as part of ongoing efforts to enhance performance and raise the efficiency of services provided to persons with disabilities.

The Minister reiterated the Ministry’s strong commitment to supporting people with disabilities, highlighting that the Authority will continue to receive the backing needed to complete its development projects and strengthen its service capacities in line with the national vision and state directives.

Dr. Al-Huwailah expressed full confidence in the capabilities of national cadres working within the Authority, encouraging them to maintain a team-oriented approach in pursuit of further achievements. She stressed that such collective dedication is vital to advancing Kuwait’s leadership in the care and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

During the inspection, the Minister toured several departments and sections within the Authority. She praised the high level of professionalism and the dedication demonstrated by staff, commending their commitment to delivering distinguished and efficient services to the disabled community.
