KUWAIT CITY, May 17: The Inspection Department of Kuwait’s Ahmadi Governorate has carried out intensive monitoring campaigns targeting food outlets as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen food safety and public health standards.

According to the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, inspection teams visited 333 food outlets during the campaign, resulting in the issuance of 55 violations as well as three closure and reopening orders.

Authorities said the inspections focused on ensuring compliance with approved health and technical regulations. The most common violations included operating without a valid health license, failure to comply with hygiene and sanitation requirements, and handling or preparing food without valid health certificates.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing inspection and monitoring campaigns across all governorates, stressing that legal measures will continue to be taken against violators to safeguard consumer health and safety.
