Kuwait’s Prime Minister visits Kuwait Central Blood Bank

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah visited the Kuwait Central Blood Bank on Sunday, accompanied by Minister of Health Ahmad Al-Awadhi and Director of the Central Administration of Blood Transfusion and Cell Therapy at the Ministry of Health, Reem Al-Radhwan.

During the visit, His Highness listened to a briefing on the mechanisms of the blood bank’s work and the stages of blood and platelet donation, in addition to the capacity of blood donation centers across the country and the plans adopted to secure sufficient blood and platelet reserves. His Highness expressed his appreciation to citizens and residents who donated blood, praising their initiative, which reflects the values of solidarity and social cohesion within the community.

He also commended the medical and technical staff working at the central blood bank and its affiliated centers for their humanitarian and national role, stressing the importance of continuing work with responsibility and cooperation to ensure the availability of a strategic blood reserve, particularly during the current period (KUNA)
