The Public Authority for Civil Information building.
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has made tremendous strides over the past two years in modernising its operations to provide exceptional services to citizens and residents. Among its achievements are the continuous registration of all members of society, issuance of unified national ID cards for citizens and residents, assignment of a unique identification number for every individual, and provision of information and statistical data services to government agencies and institutions. PACI’s ambitious development projects reflect its commitment to keeping pace with modern standards and serving the community effectively.
The most notable projects include the “Unified Platform for Data Exchange between Government Entities,” designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen cooperation among government agencies in delivering services to the public. This centralized system removes the need for government entities to request paper copies of documents for verification, as the process is managed directly through the platform. Other projects include expanding the infrastructure of the Sahel application to accommodate growing demand and ensure compatibility with current IT systems. In addition, the Electronic Lease Contract project provides a platform to regulate and monitor lease agreements by standardizing the registration process for contracts and property owners.
The project facilitates commercial transactions and ensures clear, regulated relationships between all parties involved in leasing. Among the ambitious projects undertaken by PACI is the introduction of Artificial Intelligence technologies to automatically update data for the Geographic Information System and reduce reliance on manual processes.
The project also includes creating a digital twin of the State of Kuwait, designed to utilize the data collected by PACI through its various projects to replicate real-world conditions with high precision, documenting all features on the Earth’s surface to create an accurate digital representation.
