KUWAIT CITY, March 7: CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah stated that the corporation has prepared well-considered plans to deal with various crises and potential scenarios.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, he revealed that a comprehensive plan is in place to meet the needs of the local market, particularly given the current regional situation. Sheikh Nawaf explained that the safety of employees in the oil sector and the security of operational processes are top priorities for KPC and take precedence over all other considerations. KPC’s crisis plans, including those addressing the current regional situation, are continuously reviewed and updated.
Regular training programs are also implemented to maintain a high level of preparedness and ensure efficient handling of any developments. KPC’s procedures prioritize the safety of its employees first, followed by ensuring the continuous supply of essential petroleum products to the local market, including gasoline, diesel, and gas cylinders for domestic use. KPC maintains a comprehensive long-term strategic reserve of these products.
This reserve has not yet been utilized, as crude oil production and refining operations continue uninterrupted to meet the needs of the local market. Sheikh Nawaf commended the role of oil sector personnel working near vital sites, ensuring the stability of Kuwait’s economic lifeblood by overseeing the efficient and continuous supply of all necessary petroleum products to the local market.
