Kuwait’s New Prime Minister … a true academician with a vision for development

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: A number of educational sector officials welcomed the appointment of Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Prime Minister, praising his history of giving and service to Kuwait; noting that he enjoys popular acceptance because of his high morals, political and social maturity, unique mentality, and for being a diplomatic and political man, reports Al-Anba daily. They told the daily that Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah is worthy of the precious trust that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah bestowed upon him when the latter appointed him as Prime Minister.

Assistant Undersecretary of the Financial Sector at the Ministry of Education Matrook Al- Mutairi congratulated Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah for gaining the trust of HH the Amir through his appointment to the premier post. He affirmed that Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah enjoys popular acceptance due to his high morals, political and social maturity, exceptional mentality, and being a diplomatic and political man. He added the premier is an academician with vast experience in international relations as well; hence, he will play an important role in the next stage.

Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities Maryam Al-Anzi said that Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al- Sabah held many positions in which he excelled and left a good impact. She added: “We wish him success in carrying this responsibility and he is worthy of it. We hope that he will choose a good ally that puts the country’s interest above all else.”

Director of the Capital Educational District Mansour Al-Dehani congratulated HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah for gaining the trust of HH the Amir, stressing that this Amiri order is a continuation of the process of giving and building in Kuwait. Director of the Educational Technologies Department at the Ministry of Education Dr Ghanem Al-Sulaimani said HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah is considered one of the leading intellectual and scientific elites who studied at the most prestigious universities and participated in intellectual and scientific forums. “He has a long history in Science and the knowledge sector, in addition to political acumen and experience. He is qualified for the post,” he asserted.

“He is also the son of Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem, may Allah have mercy on him, who is considered one of the pioneering rulers of Kuwait. Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah was a contemporary of many princes and has great love and trust in political and intellectual circles and a thinker. Kuwait will witness a qualitative leap and a journey full of development under this premiership, Al-Sulaimani concluded.
