Kuwait’s Nazaha moves against ex-EPA officials over public fund loss
Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) refers ex-EPA officials to prosecutors for mismanagement of public funds.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred several former senior officials and supervisors from the Environment Public Authority (EPA) to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of unintentionally causing financial loss to public funds.

In a statement issued on Tuesday via its official Twitter account, Nazaha reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to examining, collecting evidence, and investigating all credible reports of corruption that meet legal criteria, regardless of the means through which they are submitted.

The Authority emphasized the pivotal role of whistleblowers in uncovering corruption, noting that their cooperation significantly aids in accessing critical information and documentation. Nazaha further reiterated its dedication to providing whistleblowers with the highest standards of legal protection and confidentiality, in accordance with applicable laws and executive regulations.
