KUWAIT CITY, May 6: The Kuwaiti Figure Skating Team clinched five medals (two gold and three silver) in the ongoing Emirates International Championship 2023, in Al Ain, which concludes tomorrow. According to Salem Al-Ajmi, the team director, Sarah Al-Lahou and Juri Al-Mulla secured two gold medals, while Sama Jarragh, Lara Al-Barrak, and Lana Al-Qabandi won silver medals. Al-Ajmi expressed confidence in the performance of Hessa Al-Sarawi and Dalal Al-Badr in the upcoming competitions and expected them to win more medals.

He commended the remarkable performance of the Kuwaiti women's team in the championship and attributed their victory to the Kuwaiti Winter Games Club, which oversees the sport. The club is responsible for supervising five Winter Olympic Games, including figure skating, ice hockey, curling, ice skating, and speed skating.
