KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: The National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development (NFSME) said Sunday it is committed to financing initiatives that align with Kuwait’s strategic priorities, particularly in the tourism and technology sectors.
Director General Basma Al-Jassem made the remarks during a preparatory meeting for the Fund’s delegation participating in Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan, attended by Kuwaiti entrepreneurs taking part in the global event.
Al-Jassem noted that the Fund is focused on supporting entrepreneurs in international forums and showcasing Kuwait’s backing of innovation and entrepreneurship. She said two technology-focused projects have been selected for the exhibition in coordination with the Ministry of Information, describing the participation as a strategic step supporting creativity and innovation, in line with the “New Kuwait 2035” vision.
During the meeting, entrepreneur Fatima Al-Janaei presented the Rumble Gym project, funded by the Fund, which introduces modern sports techniques and has attracted attention from Japanese visitors. Abrar Al-Rasheed also showcased The Horse Co. application project, established in 2017 with NFSME support, offering equestrian supplies and serving more than 30 local and international companies.
The NFSME was established under Law No. 98/2013 to support small and medium enterprises, generate jobs in non-oil sectors, and help entrepreneurs transform ideas into sustainable projects.
