KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah reaffirmed on Sunday the Ministry of Interior’s dedication to supporting and developing sports activities aimed at enhancing the physical fitness, morale, and overall readiness of its personnel.
This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior following Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef’s participation in a ceremony honoring the winners of the top positions in the Ministries, Authorities, and Government Institutions Sports Championship for the 2024–2025 season.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized that recognizing the winning teams and individuals reflects the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to encourage athletic participation and foster a culture of health, discipline, and teamwork among its members. He expressed pride in the Ministry’s achievements in various government sports championships, noting that such accomplishments embody the spirit of dedication and excellence within the security institution.
The ceremony, held under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, was attended by Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Police Sports Federation, along with senior officials and participants from several government entities.
The event included the honoring of teams that secured first place in multiple individual and group sports, as well as coaches and administrators who contributed to these successes.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior—represented by the Police Sports Federation—affirmed its continued support for institutional sports and for enhancing physical fitness among its staff. The Ministry highlighted the role of sports in boosting preparedness, discipline, and team spirit, which directly contribute to improving performance and efficiency in security operations.
