KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: Under the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Ministry of Interior conducted an extensive security campaign in the Sabah Al-Ahmad Marine Area. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Dawas, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, along with Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, and Brigadier Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahib, Head of the Criminal Security Sector, with the participation of several senior security officials.
The campaign brought together multiple sectors of the Ministry, including the Criminal Security Sector (represented by the Drug Control Department), the Security Directorates Sector, the Traffic and Operations Sector, and the Private Security Sector. This coordinated effort forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing strategy to uphold public safety, combat crime, and apprehend violators.
The operation resulted in the issuance of 1,844 traffic violations of various kinds. Additionally, two individuals were arrested for possessing suspected narcotic and intoxicating substances, while three persons were detained for violating residency and labor laws. Authorities also apprehended three individuals without identification, five individuals wanted for truancy, and five persons with outstanding arrest warrants.
Furthermore, six vehicles and motorcycles wanted by the judiciary were seized for traffic violations, and one person was arrested in an abnormal condition, while another was detained in connection with pending legal cases.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such intensive security campaigns across all regions of Kuwait. It emphasized its determination to enforce the law strictly and safeguard the security, stability, and safety of all citizens and residents.
