KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: As part of ongoing security efforts by the General Department of Emergency Police to maintain law and order and apprehend offenders, officers from the Jahra Emergency Department successfully arrested a Ministry of Interior employee after finding in his possession items suspected to be narcotics, firearms, and ammunition. The arrest took place while officers were responding to an emergency call (112) reporting a collision and injuries in the Naeem area.

Upon arriving at the scene, security officers observed that one of the individuals involved in the accident was in an abnormal state. Upon verification, it was confirmed that he was a member of the Ministry. A preventive search of his vehicle led to the discovery of pills suspected to be narcotics (type “Lyrica”), a piece of hashish, drug-use paraphernalia, a 9mm firearm, several bullets, a magazine, and various other ammunition.

Legal procedures were promptly initiated. The individual and his vehicle were referred to the Naeem Police Station, and later to the General Department for Drug Control to complete the necessary investigations and follow-up actions.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed that no one is above the law, emphasizing that security personnel are fully committed to enforcing the law firmly and fairly against all individuals without exception, in a manner that upholds the integrity of the security institution and ensures the safety and stability of society.
