KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: Under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, a team from the Directorate General of the Coast Guard, led by their Director Major General Talal Al-Munis, arrested seven individuals, 5 Iranians and 2 Indians who attempted to smuggle about 100 kilograms of crystal meth, worth about KD 2 million, into the country by sea. According to the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media of the Ministry of Interior, it received information about the entry of a ship into the territorial waters of the State of Kuwait, carrying a substantial quantity of narcotic substances.

Immediately, a team was formed, and the investigation into the ship’s location intensified. After obtaining the necessary legal permission, the ship was seized in Kuwaiti territorial waters, and its crew of seven Asians was arrested. An inspection of the ship revealed the presence of six jars filled with the narcotic substance “Shabu”. When the suspects were interrogated, one of them reported that a person was supposed to receive the shipment. After an ambush by the force, they were seized. They were referred along with the seized items to the concerned authorities to take the necessary action.
