KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: The Public Authority for Manpower has announced the launch of a new package of electronic services through its “Ashal” portal, allowing users to complete key labour-related procedures online without visiting manpower departments.
The initiative aims to simplify procedures, reduce paperwork, and save time and effort for companies and employers by enabling access to services from anywhere, at any time.
New Corporate Services Available
Through the As’hal portal’s corporate services section, employers can now complete several important transactions electronically, including:
- Issuance of a work permit for transfer under the same sponsor (Article 24)
- Renewal of a work permit
- Transfer of residency status from worker to partner
- Issuance of a work permit following a change or amendment of status
- Transfer of residency status from partner to worker
- Issuance of a work permit for individuals transferring from an entry visa
Simple and Fully Digital Process
The authority explained that the process has been streamlined into a few simple steps. Users need only log in to the Ashal portal, select the required service, enter the necessary information, and upload the relevant documents.
Once the application is submitted, it is reviewed electronically by the concerned employee, who will approve or reject the request directly through the system. This eliminates the need for in-person visits and paper-based reviews.
Move Toward Digital Transformation
The Public Authority for Manpower said the launch of these services reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance digital transformation and improve service efficiency, while ensuring faster processing and greater transparency for businesses and individuals.
The authority encouraged companies to utilize the Ashal platform fully to benefit from the expanded range of online services.
