RIYADH, Oct 17: In the ongoing 13th Arab Bow and Arrow Shooting Championship held in Riyadh, shooter Abdullah Malallah clinched the gold medal in the men's compound bow and arrow shooting competition, while shooter Hanan Al-Mayas secured the bronze medal in the women's event.

Obaid Al-Osaimi, the Secretary General of the Kuwaiti Arab Shooting Federation, expressed his delight, along with his fellow Board of Directors members, for the remarkable accomplishments achieved by Kuwait's talented male and female archers at the Arab Bow and Arrow Shooting Championship. He particularly celebrated the sight of the Kuwaiti flag flying high and the national anthem playing, despite the challenging competition against accomplished Arab champions in the tournament.

Al-Osaimi further highlighted that in the team events for compound bow and arrow shooting, the Kuwaiti team composed of Abdullah Mal Allah, Ahmed Al-Shatti, and Badr Al-Shalahi secured third place and the bronze medal. This achievement came after tough competition with the Saudi team, who clinched the gold medal, and the Iraqi team, who took home the silver. Additionally, the mixed team, featuring Abdullah Malallah and Hanan Al-Mayas, earned the bronze in the mixed team compound bow and arrow competition.
