Kuwait’s Hani finishes runner up in British U-15 squash open

Kuwaiti squash athlete Abdullah Hani with other athletes who participated in the British Open Squash championship’s under-15 category

LONDON, Jan 7 (KUNA): Kuwaiti squash prodigy Abdullah Hani secured the second position in the under-15 category of the British Open Squash Championship on Sunday. Egypt’s Saleh Saleh emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline, narrowly besting the Kuwaiti athlete.

The “impressive performance” by Abdullah Hani propelled him to the finals, as affirmed by Adel Al-Ghareeb, the chief of the Kuwaiti delegation and a member of the squash federation. Al-Ghareeb, a distinguished squash athlete himself, expressed satisfaction with the overall performances of his compatriots in the tournament and emphasized their readiness for future competitions of a similar nature.

In dedicating the national side’s commendable performance, particularly Abdullah Hani’s runner-up achievement, Adel Al-Ghareeb extended gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
