This commanding win allowed the Kuwaiti team to collect their initial two points in the tournament, placing them at the top of Group One. In this group, they are accompanied by Thailand and China. This triumph significantly bolsters their prospects for advancing to the second round.

The handball competitions at the Asian Games are organized into four groups, with the top two teams from each group earning spots in the second round. The subsequent stage features two groups, with the first and second-placed teams from each group earning the privilege to compete in the semi-finals.
