KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Under the banner "Nurturing Talents in our Educational Institutions," the Kuwait School Sports and Education Federation orchestrated the concluding sports ceremony for kindergartens at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Hall Complex in Sabah Al-Salem. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 500 male and female students hailing from all corners of Kuwait. The technical guidance and support for kindergartens were provided by dedicated supervisors, with key figures such as Faisal Al-Maqseed, President of the Federation, and Hamid Al-Hazeem, Deputy Director of the General Authority for Sports in the Sports for All sector, gracing the occasion. Walid Ayesh, General Director of Physical Education at the Ministry of Education - Vice President of the Federation, and Amani Al-Mukaimi, General Director of Kindergartens, were also present.
The festival featured a blend of sports and recreational activities aimed at fostering the participants' skills and cultivating a passion for sports in both group and individual settings. Dr. Ahmed Al-Hamdan highlighted the federation's comprehensive strategy, encompassing social, sports, and psychological dimensions, all geared towards effectively guiding children in embracing sports and showcasing their talents. He emphasized the pivotal role of the kindergarten segment in building the sports system, aligning with the global trend of prioritizing this category for creating a robust foundation contributing to sports development. The federation's current plan spans from kindergarten to university levels.
Hamida Arab, the technical supervisor in the Farwaniya Educational District, shed light on the event's objectives, focusing on showcasing the motor and sensory skills of children and identifying gifted individuals in kindergartens. The aim is to nurture their talent in collaboration with the school union, channeling their discovered talents into supporting clubs, federations, and teams.
Simultaneously, at the Jaber International Stadium's sub-field, the semi-final matches of the Warba Bank grass football league for the secondary stage unfolded. Two exciting encounters featured the Hawalli region team facing off against the capital team in the first match, and the Farwaniya region team meeting the Al-Ahmadi region in the second match. The four teams were eager to secure victories, vying for a spot in the final match scheduled for the upcoming Thursday. The coveted title of the Warba Bank League, the strategic partner for the School Union's activities, awaits the triumphant team.
