KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: In a firm move to uphold discipline and integrity within Kuwait’s educational system, the Ministry of Education has announced the suspension of several school officials who organized events without obtaining the necessary approvals.
According to the Ministry, an urgent investigation has been launched into two incidents involving school activities that were conducted in violation of established regulations and ministerial instructions. The Ministry described these incidents as serious breaches that undermine the authority and dignity of educational institutions, stressing that those responsible will be held fully accountable.
His Excellency, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Engineer Syed Jalal Abdul Mohsen Al-Tabtabai, has directed the immediate suspension of the officials involved — including school principals and subject teachers — pending the outcome of the investigation. The Ministry confirmed that legal and administrative measures will be taken against anyone found negligent or in breach of their professional responsibilities.
The Ministry emphasized that these actions clearly contravene Ministerial Decision No. 135/2025, which governs the organization of celebrations and events within schools. The regulation stipulates that no school activity or event may be held without prior authorization from the relevant educational activities departments. The Ministry reaffirmed that it will not tolerate any disregard for official directives or violations of approved procedures.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Education urged all school administrations across Kuwait to strictly adhere to laws and ministerial regulations when organizing any form of activity. It reiterated the importance of ensuring that all school events support educational goals, reflect the values of national responsibility, and remain within the framework of the country’s educational mission.
