KUWAIT CITY, July 1: Kuwait's Ministry of Defense has announced that the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team of the Land Forces Engineering Corps will carry out a controlled operation to dispose of shrapnel and explosive remnants of war in the New Bayan (Al-Mubarakiya) area on Thursday.
The operation is scheduled to take place from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
The ministry said residents may hear explosion sounds during the operation, stressing that they are part of the planned disposal process and should not cause alarm.
The announcement was issued through the Center for Government Communication, which urged the public to be aware of the scheduled activity.
