Kuwait’s Davis Cup team in confident mood ahead of Thai clash

The Kuwaiti Davis Cup and Thailand teams after the press conference.

Kuwait’s national tennis team Tuesday affirmed their readiness to face the Thai team in the Davis Cup Tournament within the qualifications of the World Cup of Tennis, which is organized under supervision of International Tennis Federation (ITF).

In a pre-match press conference, coach of Kuwait’s national team Adel Al-Shatti said the preparations have been very good.

He highlighted the important role played by outside camps in enhancing the skills of the players, affirming that the team will work hard to get positive results in the difficult match, especially since the two teams had previously met.

Captain of Kuwait’s national team Mohammed Al-Ghareeb said his team has completed all the preparations to face the Thai team.

His colleague in the team Abdullah Muqdes described the upcoming match with Thailand as “difficult and tiresome”, affirming that the team will give their all to raise the flag of Kuwait high in this international sport event.

Meanwhile, Director of the tournament Faleh Al-Otaibi praised the role being played by the Public Authority for Sports in facilitating the success of the tournament and removing all obstacles in order to improve the standard of tennis sport in the country.

Kuwait’s national team will face their Thai counterpart on Friday, Feb 3 at Yarmouk Club Stadium for a period of three days.
