KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: Chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr. Essam Al-Rubaiaan on Monday affirmed the Commission’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and integration with civil service agencies in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to advance government performance.
Speaking at the 28th meeting of GCC Civil Service and Administrative Development Undersecretaries, Dr. Al-Rubaiaan described the gathering as a “valuable platform for exchanging expertise and supporting joint development efforts,” aligned with the aspirations of GCC leadership and peoples.
He noted that the meeting “also contributes to enhancing joint action in the fields of civil service and administrative development to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership and the generous people and improve the level of services.” Dr. Al-Rubaiaan stressed that the forum is expected to produce positive recommendations that will have a tangible impact on advancing administrative development and human resources across the GCC.
Meanwhile, GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs Khalid Al-Sunaidi praised Kuwait’s continuous support for joint Gulf initiatives, highlighting the region’s tangible progress in digital transformation and institutional development.
Al-Sunaidi pointed to the GCC’s improved ranking in the United Nations 2024 E-Government Development Survey, calling it a reflection of the efficiency of government services and alignment with technological advancements. He added that the progress is “the fruit of ambitious national visions and continuous Gulf coordination in this field.”
The meeting agenda includes discussions on improving service quality standards, developing innovative tools to measure institutional maturity, strategic workforce planning, and exploring employment opportunities in artificial intelligence to support digital transformation and sustainable human resource development under the GCC 2026-2030 strategy.
Al-Sunaidi emphasized that the forum will explore innovative mechanisms to ensure operational efficiency, institutional development, and human resource sustainability in light of economic transformations, while continuing to strengthen cooperation among GCC countries.
