Kuwait’s Co-ops Maintain Steady Flow of Basic Goods and Foodstuffs

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: Minister of Social, Family and Children Affairs Amthal Al-Huwaila confirmed on Thursday the availability and stability of basic goods and foodstuffs in co-operative societies to meet consumer needs. Following an inspection of Abdullah Al-Salem and Al-Mansouriya Co-operative Societies, Minister Al-Huwaila said to KUNA that the ministry is directly monitoring co-op societies to ensure the continued availability and stability of goods. She added that during the inspection, accompanied on by the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi and Assistant Undersecretary for Cooperative Affairs Dr. Sayed Issa, she reviewed the work inside the co-op societies and the mechanisms for supplying them with enough goods.

Minister of Social, Family and Children Affairs Amthal Al-Huwaila, accompanied by several ministry leaders, toured the Juvenile Care Center on Thursday, inspecting the level of preparedness and approved emergency plans. According to a ministry statement, Al-Huwaila was briefed on details of the emergency plan and procedures in place for handling various situations. She listened from officials regarding operational mechanisms and the level of readiness to ensure the safety of residents and the continued provision of services efficiently. Al-Huwaila emphasized the ministry’s commitment to providing care and attention to this group, especially in current times. (KUNA)
