KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has issued a new circular to all employees to regulate official working hours and monitor attendance and departures through the “Dawami” app and fingerprint scanners with facial recognition. According to informed sources, the circular permits accepting fingerprint attendance and departure records up to half an hour before the start of official working hours and up to half an hour after their end for all employees, regardless of job category.

The circular also emphasized that the use of facial recognition in the “Dawami” app is mandatory for both morning shift employees and those working in other shifts. The circular explained that employees using fingerprint scanners must select the “IN” setting for entry and the “OUT” setting for exit to prevent errors in recording attendance and departure times. No fingerprints will be accepted outside the permitted hours, whether via the fingerprint scanner or the “Dawami” app, in order to maintain employee discipline and standardize the attendance tracking system. The sources confirmed that the directive was circulated to all sectors of PACA and took effect on Monday.
