KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: Kuwait’s Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) said Monday it signed a contract with Future Integrated Technology Company to develop an automated system for measuring and analyzing the country’s radio frequency spectrum.
CITRA said the project, part of a national initiative to modernize spectrum management, will establish a central control center, fixed and mobile monitoring stations, and portable devices to detect unlicensed use, locate interference, and ensure compliance with licensing rules.
The regulator added that the system will allow real-time monitoring across all residential and border areas, improve telecommunications service quality, and support rapid action against violations.
CITRA said the project is aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s digital infrastructure and aligning its spectrum management practices with international standards.
