DOHA, Nov 8( KUNA): Racers from Kuwait’s Basel Al-Sabah Racing Club delivered outstanding performances in the motorcycle category during the first round of the Qatar Sand Drag Racing competition, securing several top positions.

In the Modified motorcycle category, Jassem Dashti took first place, Abdulsamad Al-Shatti finished second, and Fahad Dashti claimed third. In the Modified Pro category, Abdullah Abdulaziz secured first place.

In the Open motorcycle category, Abdulaziz Al-Haddad came in second, while teammate Ibrahim Jumaa finished third. In the Motocross category, Dhari Al-Ansari earned second place.

Saif Al-Mutairi, Director of Basel Al-Sabah Racing Club, expressed his delight at the club’s strong showing, telling KUNA on Friday that he was proud of the racers’ skill and performance. He added that club members are also competing in the car category, which began on Friday evening.

Al-Mutairi noted that the competition will run across five rounds from November to April, and he wished all club members continued success in the upcoming events.
