Kuwait’s athletics team set for GCC championship

Kuwait’s National Athletics team will take part in the 16th Gulf Cooperation Council Men Athletics Championships to be held in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the championship Bader Al-Roushoud told KUNA today that the team returned from Bahrain yesterday after holding an intensive two-week camp in preparation for this major event.

Al-Roushoud, member of Kuwait Association of Athletics Federation expressed his satisfaction over the technical progress of the team, hailing the commitment of the players and confi rmed their readiness to achieve good results during the championship. He concluded by saying that the team comprises of 20 athletes and trainers will leave Kuwait for Jeddah next Wednesday.
