Kuwait's Anti-Corruption Authority Flags Two Disability Affairs Officials for Embezzlement, Forgery Allegations

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred supervisory officials and another employee at the Public Authority for Disability Affairs to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of committing the crimes of embezzlement and facilitating the embezzlement of public funds, in conjunction with suspected forgery of official documents.

In a press statement issued today, Thursday, Nazaha affirmed its determination to continue its efforts and procedures to examine, verify, and gather evidence and information in all serious and duly substantiated reports it receives.

The authority also praised the role of whistleblowers in helping it obtain the information and data needed in corruption cases, stressing at the same time its commitment to providing them with the highest levels of protection and confidentiality as stipulated by law and its executive regulations.
