Kuwait’s Al-Subaie grabs bronze in diving

MANILA, Feb 28, (KUNA): Kuwaiti diver Bader Al-Subaie, representing the Kuwait National team, secured the first bronze medal at the 11th Asian Age Group Aquatics Championships on Wednesday in New Clark City, Philippines.

In a phone call with KUNA, Faisal Abu-Alhassan, Board Member of Kuwait Aquatics, highlighted the significance of this accomplishment in the premier continental competition. Al-Subaie clinched the third-place spot in the one-meter dive category for the 16-18 age group.

Abu-Alhassan emphasized that this achievement is noteworthy for Kuwait, considering the presence of elite athletes from around the world. He expressed the determination of Kuwaiti athletes to achieve further success in the remaining days of the championship.

The Board Member mentioned that while the tournament encompasses all Aquatics disciplines, Kuwait is currently participating solely in diving and swimming competitions. He noted Kuwait’s recent success in the second Arab Aquatics Championship held in Doha, where the national team secured an impressive 11 medals across various events.
