DUBAI, Jan 13, (KUNA): Kuwaiti racer Abdullah Al-Shatti, from the Kuwait Motor Sports Club (KMSC), on Saturday ranked second in the Sharjah desert motorbike race (Al-Badayer), in the MX2 category. A South African racer came second and a German third. It was a hard tourney, as one competed with leading world racers, Al- Shatti told KUNA.

“Though the competition was fierce, one, thankfully, I won second place,” he added. Al-Shatti noted that the win followed long, serious and intensive training, as well as competing in several local and external races. He thanked the KMSC’s Chairman Sheikh Ahmad Al-Dawood Al-Sabah for continued support to him, and highly appreciated the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) for backing Kuwaiti racers taking part in competitions overseas.

Al-Badayer 2018 is held for the second year in a row sponsored by Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, with participation of many Arab and foreign racers.
