Kuwait’s Al-Razi Hospital adopts rapid recovery knee protocol

KUWAIT CITY, July 8: The Ministry of Health announced Wednesday that the orthopedic team at Al-Razi Hospital has successfully implemented a rapid recovery protocol for knee replacement surgery, marking one of the first applications of the protocol in the country. Orthopedic and joint replacement consultant Dr. Hamad Al-Enezi explained that the protocol provides integrated care before, during and after surgery to reduce pain, minimize complications and accelerate patient recovery. The approach enables patients to stand and walk within hours of surgery and, following medical assessment, return home the same day in line with patient safety and quality standards. Dr. Al-Enezi said the protocol aligns with the latest international medical standards and reflects the continued development of Kuwait’s healthcare sector.(KUNA)
