Kuwait’s Ahmadi Crackdown Nets Wanted Individuals, Beggars, and Residency Violators

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The Ahmadi Security Directorate carried out a large-scale security campaign in Ahmadi Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of a number of individuals for various violations. The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the campaign resulted in the issuance of 97 traffic tickets, the arrest of Bedoun street vendors, the detention of eight street vendors and undocumented workers, the arrest of one individual for begging, the apprehension of individuals with expired residency permits, the arrest of eight wanted persons, the detention of absconding individuals, the arrest of one person banned from entering Kuwait, the detention of two individuals without identification, and the arrest of one person in an abnormal state found in possession of suspected narcotics, and the removal of three unauthorized and unlicensed sites in cooperation with Kuwait Municipality. The ministry affirmed its ongoing commitment to conducting field campaigns to apprehend violators and reinforce security measures, contributing to enhanced community safety.
