KUWAIT CITY, Sep 28: The Public Authority for Civil Information recently provided the Kuwait Banking Association with a list of Kuwait citizens who have not completed the biometric fingerprint procedure. This action is being taken to prepare for the freezing of their bank accounts and transactions once the Ministry of Interior's deadline has passed.

The Ministry of Interior has urged Kuwaiti citizens to complete the biometric fingerprinting process before the deadline on the 30th of September. They warned that failure to do so will result in the suspension of civil IDs, as well as all government and banking transactions, immediately after the deadline.

According to sources, banks have received lists containing tens of thousands of names, with instructions to freeze their accounts once the deadline passes. These banks have already begun sending text messages to affected customers, notifying them that their accounts will be frozen if the biometric process is not completed by the deadline.
