The planned course is part of a broad program to train and employ Kuwaiti citizens in the sector “and constitutes fruit of continuing cooperation between the Central Bank and the Kuwaiti banks,” he said in a statement on Saturday, affirming that the sector “shoulders responsibilities in various realms related to serving the society by preparing national cadres capable of contributing to development in the State of Kuwait,” he said.

The program aims at selecting “elite graduates, trailing them and sharpening their skills to serve in the banking sector, with theoretical and field activities at Kuwaiti and renowned international banks for a year,” Al-Hashel said, noting the approach to train “promising leaders in the profession.” The program, managed by the institute, is coexecuted by the CBK and Kuwaiti banks.
