Lack of entertainment events in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: As per the figures of Central Bank of Kuwait based on quarterly reports, Kuwaitis spent $16.5 billion USD in a year (between 4th quarter of 2018 and 3rd quarter of 2019) on travelling. Spending in 208 was about $ 14.8 billion .

The spending has increased this year and it is assumed to 10% increase reports Al Qabas. The statistics show increase in 37% since 2016. The figures include students studying abroad, medical tourism but it is a very small amount compared to money spent on tourism, entertainment, airfare and accommodation expense abroad.

Sources said that these tremendous spending figures is related to certain segments of Kuwaitis who love to travel. But it is worth noting that other Kuwaitis have been following the trend due to high purchasing power that has boosted travel and tourism industry.

Outside Kuwait, there is a thrill and excitement that has spread so much with the use of social media, where as within Kuwait there is limited entertainment events.
