KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: On Sunday, five young Kuwaitis were prevented from boarding an airplane bound for Bosnia — transit in Istanbul, because they did not carry the required health permits, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a reliable source from the diplomatic sector.

Affirming that the Kuwaiti consulate in Istanbul followed up the issue from the beginning, the source told the daily that a group of Kuwaiti youths booked a flight to the Bosnian capital – Sarajevo — transit in Turkey, but their failure to carry health permits required by the Bosnian authorities for all those wishing to enter its territories prevented them from boarding the plane.

The source said the consulate followed up the issue upon contact with one of the travelers; but the health requirements are the sovereign right of every country, adding that it is possible for the group to travel to Bosnia on the next plane if they obtain the required health permits.
