KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested six Kuwaitis for holding a wedding reception during partial curfew in clear violation of the decision issued by the Council of Ministers which bans holding parties, organizing weddings or condolence meetings.

A security source said the arrest came after one of the participants posted a video clip of the ceremony in the social media. The ceremony was held inside a house in Sabah Al-Ahmad last week and the party was attended by a big number of invitees.

Those arrested include the groom and his father and brother. They were referred to the concerned authority and released on KD 1,000 bail after signing pledges of good conduct. The invitees were summoned for interrogation and they are expected to be referred to the Public Prosecution
