Kuwaitis Arrested in Drug Bust, Sisters and Mother Assault Officers

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 3: As part of its ongoing security operations, the Ministry of Interior, through the Criminal Security Sector – General Department for Drug Control, announced the seizure of narcotic substances in the Doha area that were intended for trafficking and abuse. The confiscated items included marijuana, a sensitive scale, and several empty bags.

Arrested individuals (in possession of narcotics):

  • Abdullah Ghali Sneid Al-Khasili – Employee at the Ministry of Justice (Court Secretary), Kuwaiti
  • Ahmed Abdul Aziz Qasim Al-Matroud – Employee at the Ministry of Justice, Kuwaiti
  • Hajraf Mubarak Saif Habib – Employee at the Ministry of Justice, Kuwaiti

During the search of the residence and completion of legal procedures, security personnel were physically assaulted by family members of the accused, Abdullah Al-Khasili. His mother and two sisters attacked the officers, while another sister forced open a glass door, causing a deep hand injury to one of the anti-narcotics officers, including tendon damage. The injured officer was immediately transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Individuals involved in the assault on security forces:

  • Fatima Ghali Sneid Al-Khasili – Employee at the Ministry of Education, Kuwaiti
  • Ahood Ghali Sneid Al-Khasili – Employee at the Public Authority for Commerce and Industry, Kuwaiti
  • Karima Abdul Razzaq Hassan – Housewife, Kuwaiti

The Ministry of Interior stressed that this assault constitutes a grave crime and will be added to the charges against the accused. The Ministry affirmed that the dignity and authority of security personnel are a red line that cannot be crossed, and that strict legal action will be taken against all those involved to safeguard society and uphold the rule of law.
